There are a variety of Summons in Knights Chronicle.
Rates
The rates for SSR, SR and R Heroes are split evenly between 5 star and 4 star variations. The only difference between obtaining a 5 star and 4 star variant of a particular Hero is how much it costs to evolve them.
Normal Banner

During Rate-Up Banner

The pickup chance for each featured Hero fluctuates depending on the amount of Heroes on rateup currently. The player is able to check these rates under Summon Info, then Summon Chance. For instance, in a 3-Hero banner, the chance to obtain a particular variant of a Hero is 0.3842%, and 0.7684% combined.
Summon Rarities
Summons have different rarities, and these rarities often impact their abilities or special features. Knights Chronicle has the following rarity tiers:

- TIER 1 - Tier 1 rewards are granted by summoning 1 times total and grant the player 200k gold, 1 Stamina Potion and 5 Rainbow Essence.
- TIER 2 - Tier 2 rewards are granted by summoning 3 times total and grant the player 400k gold, 2 Stamina Potions and 10 Rainbow Essence.
- TIER 3 - Tier 3 rewards are granted by summoning 5 times total and grant the player 600k gold, 3 Stamina Potions and 15 Rainbow Essence.
- TIER 4 - Tier 4 rewards are granted by summoning 7 times total and grant the player 800k gold, 4 Stamina Potions and 20 Rainbow Essence.
- TIER 5 - Tier 5 rewards are granted by summoning 10 times total and grant the player a single 4 star copy of a featured SSR Hero, 5 Stamina Potions and 25 Rainbow Essence.
In all, it costs the player 2,000 Crystals to earn all tier rewards from a particular summon, unless a discount is currently being held.
